The KBIC‑225 is an adjustable‑speed DC motor drive designed for 180‑volt permanent‑magnet and shunt‑wound motors. It supports motors from 1/50 horsepower up to 1.5 horsepower, and it can reach 3 horsepower when an auxiliary heat sink is added. The drive offers a 50:1 speed range with about 1% load regulation, giving it stable performance under varying loads.
It includes several built‑in features such as Auto Inhibit for safe startup, Voltage Following capability, MOV transient protection, and a 5K speed potentiometer. The unit also provides trimpot adjustments for minimum speed, maximum speed, acceleration, IR compensation, and current limit.
